Hiya,

I am an ordinary human being and my name is Ekaterine Gasparian (but i prefer when they call me Katia). I am 21 years old, being born in Georgia, Armenian by nationality, raised in a Russian speaking family, thus three cultures and languages are mixed inside me.
I am a full time student, currently studying International Relations, BA.

The purpose of my life is eating chocolate and ice-cream (just kidding). Well, I am a chocoholic *says hi to all chocoholics out there*. I like to cook, sing, play the piano, ride a bike, wander around, travel, and take loads of pictures.

Learning new cultures, languages, and sets of mind of people has been a challenging yet a cognitve task for me, a task that I always try to accomplish, but it is like a horizon.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling has been my passion since I was a little kid.

It all started when I realized how much I liked the road trips, because they make you escape the reality for a while.
Now, being a mature student on an exchange program, I not only like to travel and explore new places, but to meet new people, experience the culture they are surrounded by and the culture they keep within themselves.

Being a tourist means seing a place through the eye of a stranger, which doesn't allow you to fully understand the primary "objective" of it. Thus, I am on Couchsurfing to see a place through the eye of the local and to understand things I otherwise wouldn't be able to.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music, Movies & Books have always been a big part of my life.
It's hard to pick one movie or one book, because I believe that any of that have an influence on you, whether in a positive or negative way: either way you get to learn something and make a realization for yourself.

Talking about music, I love any type of music, I love music as a person. Nevertheless, my biggest influences are Adele, Amy Winehouse, Lana Del Rey, and Sia (I've been at her show and she's amazing).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My sister took me to an adventure of my lifetime. We took a motor-boat, sat in front of it, and went against the waves of the Mediterranean. It was scary, yet full of good adrenalin (which is the main "spice" of one's life). While going up and down the waves, I saw a sea turtle carelessly floating and absorbing the sun rays. Oh, how little it is needed to be happy.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am open to studying new languages (basic phrases, at least), experienceing new environments and making new friendships. I am open to anything new to me.
In my turn, I will be happy to teach you what I want to be taught.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my knowledge and experience, that I have collected so far (not that I am an old wise lady, but still). Good vibes and a good talk are also present. I will undoubtedly teach you how to cook some traditional dishes.
