Overview
About Me
Sooo...I'm in China now! After living in Japan, Vietnam--exploring Asia, and all over, for 2018 I find myself in Changzhou.
I JUST got my apartment, a nice 2br on the 29th floor with amazing views. Happy to host! You and your guest/whomever would have your own room.
About me--I love adventure and traveling, languages--by trade I am an IT guy who made a life transition to become an English teacher, so now I teach 1st grade--a small army of 6 year olds. I also dance a lot of Salsa!
I enjoy people who like to smile, laugh and have a good sense of humor :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The ideology behind the site is fantastic--allowing people to travel and have authentic experiences without the burden of having to worry too much about travel costs. It's an an amazing cultural exchange and something I'm proud to be part of.
Interests
It's almost unfortunate that I'm interested in just about everything.
Anything outdoor--I like it. Most everything indoor, I like that too. I read, and study, and enjoy arts and sciences, can't help but love hiking and doing adventurous things. I like to go to a new country, find a spot on a map--and just go there, with life happening along the way.
I love to have fun, I like to dance, read, and to write (both for fun and for pay), to build things, I like power tools and guy stuff, I like to travel and go to new places, and I love learning new things. I find people endlessly interesting.
I paint and draw and am a photographer as well.
It's a big range of interests--because I enjoy almost everything. I can even sew. I'm just very curious. Except for knitting though--can't bring myself to do it.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I enjoy all kinds--I probably listen to more music in Spanish than in English, salsa, latin music---and I like older stuff as well. Even rap is kind of entertaining. Since I'm a dancer, I end up listening to a huge variety.
As for movies--it's like brain candy, they're all kind of fun. I really like the once that require you to figure something out--the crazy twists, or require some thinking.
Books: I'll confess I like nerdy books, especially content that covers psychology, psychoanalysis, and the psychology of the unconscious. Yum!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once (or twice) I won a world championship with my dance team :)
Teach, Learn, Share
Well, if you're open to learning something, you've come to the right place! I've spent my life learning new things (isn't that true about everyone?)
If you want to learn about....let's see---traveling, other countries, health, medicine, biology, the IT world, photography, writing, Spanish, dancing, electrical work, dental work, cabinetry, sewing, tiling, (random stuff), English, soccer, Salsa, Bachata, skiing--I can help. I like everything.
I'd say though, above all, I can share a lot about human psychology (psycho analytics). If you want to know why you, or anyone does, or does not do anything anything at all--there's always an answer. I love love the subjects of motivation, the ego, defense mechanisms, communication, and relationships. It's endlessly interesting!
