ABOUT ME

I like being happy, and I like seeing people around me happy!! So, that's a dash of hospitality, some nerdy jokes, a hug, and laughing together over the little things while sharing a meal.

兴趣

My hobbies often take a back seat (sadly) to my day job. If you're reading this, I probably want to meet you: I like to chat intellectually, but I'm pretty happy to just chill over a beer, wine, coffee, iced tea, 7-up, orange juice, etc.

In my spare time, I go swing dancing and like to brush up on playing the piano. I have my nerdy side, but I also just like hanging out and making people laugh. I think my facebook used to list 'laughing' as an interest/hobby. I think I should change it to 'giggling', really! :-P

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Two friends and I had dinner on the Upper West Side, NYC. After getting some cake at a dessert bar, we saw a guy playing his travel guitar in the New York City subway.

He had lost his pick, so I took out my Safeway Club Card and handed it to him, knowing that I could get a replacement the next time I was in a Safeway grocery store. He happily used that, but my friend swiped it from him so that he could use his Swiss army knife to cut it into the shape of a pick for him.

While there were probably a handful of subway riders who were annoyed (well, c'mon, whaddya expect? it's NYC.... the locals there DON'T HAVE FUN ON PUBLIC TRANSPORT), we just had fun passing the guitar and makeshift pick back and forth, all of us claiming that somebody else should take over playing, "because I'm no good."

That was simple, but so MEMORABLE!
