About Me
Hi there! I am Ekta and I am a traveller. I like a perfectly grilled sandwich, watching the sun rise and set (preferably from a mountain top after a good day/nights hike), movies that make me cry and rollercoasters. I’m often asked how and why I travel. Well, to me the answer is fairly simple. Food and people (In that order). Food and me have a kind of relationship which I probably won’t share with anyone. Most of my travel is centred around eating. Secondly, I love meeting people! I love people and listening to stories about them and their culture. So far, I haven’t met a single person whom I didn’t like after I’ve heard their story. And I’ve found that CS is the perfect way I can do two things I love the most: Travel and make new friends.
I recently graduated with a Bachelors in Information Technology and wasn’t really able to host anyone since I lived in student housing. But whenever I could, I acted as a tour guide to a lot of travellers visiting my city.
I haven’t stayed with a host either since all the travelling I did so far was with family or a bunch of friends. But all of that is going to change on 31st May 2017. I’m backpacking across Europe for two months all by myself and am very much looking forward to living with all the wonderful people in the CS community.
Couple of things to keep in mind before you host me/decide to send me a message
- I don’t like treating Couchsurfing as Tinder. I’m only here to make new friends while I travel. If you’re messaging me for any other reason, please don’t waste your time.
- If you host me, I can guarantee you two things: A clean house and good conversations. Probably good Indian meal too if I feel like it.
- I don’t expect my hosts to hang out with me 24/7. I know they have their own routine. They’ve helped me out enough by inviting me into their house and lives. That being said, you’re more than welcome to join me on my adventures :)
So that was a lot! But if you made it this far into my bio, you’ve a lot of patience AND you like to do your research which tells me we’ll get along just fine :) Hope to see most(if not all) of you wonderful people on my journey
