About Me

I'm graduating from my medical training and I finally have time to see the world!

I want to go everywhere and see everything but I especially want to meet new people from all over and make some new connections.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of my favorite parts of traveling is getting to meet new people and get to know and see a new city through the eyes of those who live there. I also love the community that couch surfing creates. So many of my favorite people have met each other through this community and I would love to be able to meet up with cool and like-minded people.

Interests

Traveling has always been one of my greatest joys. I love it so much I move to a new city every 2-3 years. I currently live in San Francisco but have also lived in NYC, Tel Aviv, Philadelphia, Washington DC and Pittsburgh. I also really love doing art and host a weekly art night every Tuesday! My current favorite medium is painting vintage leather jackets I pick up from thrift stores. Speaking of thrifting... it's one of my favorite things to do and almost all of my clothes were previously loved <3.

I'm also a burner and have been attending Burning Man, regional burns and local burn meet-ups for the past 6 years.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to call my musical tastes happy hipster music. Basically I like upbeat and slightly weird alternative rock.

Magical realism is my favorite book genre- my favorite authors are Haruki Murukami, Toni Morrison and Gabriel Garcia Marquez. "Song of Solomon", "100 years of solitude" and "Hard Boiled Wonderland" are some of my favorites!

Movies I tend to prefer weird/surreal films which get better (and clearer) the more times you wtach them and also films which are just super weird and out there. Some of my favorites are "Synecdoche New York" and "Hedwig and the Angry Inch"

Teach, Learn, Share

I absolutely love learning new things and sharing the things I've learned. Lately I've been loving learning new art skills such as working on my leather painting skills
