About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live life to its fullest potential and make every moment count

ABOUT ME

I'am little on the quiet side, but love to live life to its fullest (in a somewhat conservative way :-)) - I love to meet new people and learn about them and their lives. I adore travel and classify it as one of the most enriching experiences a person can have.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't judge until you have walked in that persons shoes.

A single act of kindness reverberates throughout time and space.

Each day is a gift, donâ

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Been a member for many years now. Made many friends. Took a break for a few years and now started again by offering my home and local assistance to travellers to Adelaide. Hoping to establish some great contacts for my kids as they start travelling over the next few years.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In my youth; lobbed into Germany very late at night with no money and nowhere to stay. Got desperate and went to the police and made up a story hoping they would give me a cell for the night - nope, they took me to an old peoples home (wish I could remember where it was) and the wonderful people in the home gave me a bed for the night, food, drink a packed lunch next day and a ride too the highway so I could hitch-hike. It was a totally unexpected and a wonderful example of un-asked for hospitality towards a foreign stranger - thank you, whoever you were.
