About Me

CURRENT MISSION

let´s see: PhD

ABOUT ME

Instead of a description I want to invite you to hang around with me and to find it out on your own. I love to travel so probably one day I come to your city to get to know you, especially in Latina America.

PHILOSOPHY

Even if you loose, life is better with a good saw!

We march day and night by the big cooling tower, they have the plants, but we have the power! - Lisa Simpson´s Union Strike Folk Song

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I attended a lot of meetings in different cities and countries and I found a lot of really nice people and good friends. I surfed and hosted quiet few until now, but this is the next step to take.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing is great to connect people, I got to know so much amazing people, who became friends.

Interests

The truth is, that my hobbies are really reduced since I´m writing my phd thesis, but I still have time to play basketball and to go out and hang around with friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite author is Hunter S. Thompson because of it´s writing and telling style he calls Gonzo Journalism. But at the moment I´m more in reading academic stuff for my phd thesis.
I love latin ska like La Vela Puerca and Los Fabulosos Cadillacs and the best band of the world Talco, a Ska band from Italy. The best movies ever made in my opinion are The Godfather, Lord of the Rings and some more...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw a lot of amazing places but the other really fantastic side of travelling is the everyday life, so for the moment the most amazing thing coming to my mind is the butcher next to a friends house in Boedo, Buenos Aires, where I lived several times, cutting milanesas with a knife with the precision of a machine and love of life.

Teach, Learn, Share

What I can teach/share are the different languages, especially German as mother tongue. I'm not sure if I can teach the others. As political scientist I can teach different aspects of politics especially in Latin America and I love to share a good political discussion.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Chile, Czech Republic, El Salvador, France, Guatemala, Honduras, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay
