About Me

Yeah, well I am currently studying biotechnology at the Berlin Institute of Technology. Come to think of it, this is not entirely correct as I am now studying beer brewing science (which is part of the biotechnology cluster). Besides that I try to see as much as my city has to offer (which is a lot !). Before I started studying I worked abroad for some time in the north of europe (Iceland, Norway) but nowadays my traveling is more or less limited to Germany as money and time is sparse. But I was able to get away to Central America last year and had a blast there for more than half a year.
I myself am rather open minded and love a good discussion, preferably in a shoddy bar with a beer in hand.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The place where I live is to tiny to host anyone without us suffocating during the night from oxygen deprivation. But I try to surf as much as possible whenever I go somewhere else as it provides a direct access to the cities through the host. Usually one can dive immediately into the experience of (remotely) knowing someone there.

All my hosts were brilliant people and we had a lot of fun together.

Interests

I soak up stories of any kind like a sponge.

Music, Movies, and Books

you can´t go wrong with: Mirrormask, The Thief and the Cobbler, Adams æbler, Brasil, He died with a felafel in his hand, Naqoyqatsi, Four Rooms,The Fall...
usually listening to: soundtracks or alternative music (which serves as kind of a joker-genre since it could include anything...)
had a great time reading everything from the Strugatzky brothers as well as assorted works of Carlos Ruiz Zafon, Neil Gaiman, Sven Regener, Stanislaw Lem, Adams, Pratchett...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been through the saltdesert of Tunisia in a car with no name...

Teach, Learn, Share

There is a lot I could share but it seldom is practical or useful. I do love to tell stories though.
