Overview
About Me
Currently based in Brussels but originally from southern Poland. I previously studied, worked and lived in Scotland, Germany and Kazakhstan. I enjoy travelling, meeting fellow travellers and connecting with the locals. Happy to get a drink together and show you some of my favourite spots in Brussels and/ or host!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like the idea of meeting the locals and getting a local experience when I go abroad. I have recently travelled to Iran with a friend who's a big fun of couchsurfing and who introduced me to the idea. I had the most wonderful trip and met some of the most amazing people through couchsurfing in Iran. It'd be great to return the favour now.
Interests
Travelling, naturally, but also reading, politics, history, art, cinema, music, fitness and healthy lifestyle, dancing, cooking, hosting dinners, and sometimes just wandering around without much aim or purpose :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Chvrches and Jessie Ware recently but it changes every few months.
Movies: I like Polish and European cinema. Would like to know more about other countries film tastes.
Books: History and politically themed in the past few years. Mostly work related covering Eastern Europe.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I thought that couchsurfing in Iran was an amazing thing to do from the ones that I can think off the top of my head. I also worked on projects to promote democracy, human rights and good governance in Eastern Europe thanks to which I met to some of the most fascinating people and civil society activists one could imagine to meet.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would really like to use my Russian more and happy to chat in English, French or Polish in return.
I also like sharing recipes from different travels and parts of the worlds, or just a bottle of wine and an engaging conversation, alternatively a good vodka and shashlik discussion about the 'Slavic soul' although that's not for the faint of hearts :)
Always interested in film and book recommendations from your parts of the world!
