ABOUT ME

Hi, everyone. My name is Elaine. I am a senior student majoring in English, and going to study International Communication for master degree, currently living in Taipei. I am easy-going and like to make friends with people around the world, so I am also trying hard to learn other languages.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have some travel experiences before, and I have been to some countries, such as U.S.A, Korea, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, India, etc. People I met there are very kind and helped me a lot, and therefore I have chance to be friend with them and get to know more about others' cultures. Now, I think I have time to provide some help to foreigners, and I would like to do it. And also, because I plan to join a voluntary camp this summer, I hope I can know some local people in advance and have good conversation and experiences abroad!

Interests

I like reading, cooking, writing, and watching movies, but I am also interested in outdoor activities, such as riding bicycle, jogging, and mountain climbing. Besides, I am a music lover. I play the piano and the guitar.

Music, Movies, and Books

Fans of classical music, Chopin lover, but also have craze for Maroon 5.
I watch all kinds of movies, such as adventure, horror movies, suspense films and melodrama, so there's no preference.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling alone in Europe for 40 days and stayed in 5 different countries by myself in 2016 summer.
Meeting a lot of good friends and doing something really crazy there XD
Maybe it's not amazing enough, but to me it's like a brand new adventure!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you Chinese (of course :D) and cook Chinese food for you, and share my travel experience and my interests with you. If we have enough time, I can show you around the city or even the whole island TAIWAN! Also, I would like to learn some from others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share whatever I know with you, such as things about my country or the world. If we have same interests and some travel experience, it will be great cuz we will definitely talk about them all day! XD
