Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To meet people from other countries and learn about their culture
ABOUT ME
To define myself, I would start with music because that's my passion and what I dedicate most of my free time to. As a result I don't always have the time for my other hobbies, language learning, trying to cook, these are important but get regulated to second place to music. But beyond that I love to try new things and have a curiosity about life and the great big world out there.
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy is to try to say yes to things, by that I mean try to keep an open mind with the principal of yes in the first instance. When you have this as a basis to proceed you don't shut down new experiences, you can always say no later.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Presently I could meet with people in Nottingham but I am not able to offer a place to stay as I am in a single room.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
What I love about meeting people through couchsurfing is that you are getting a real sense of how people live and what they think, in the places you visit. You don't get that staying in hostels as the local people there are working and you tend to meet up more with other travellers than the local people.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love Stephen King and reading in general, I've just read Tina Fey's Bossy pants and have loved the wry humour with which she approaches the standardised attitudes and expectations people have from life and how these can be limiting. Love all kinds of music, except highly commercialised stuff,....... or stuff that hurts my ears!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
If I have to pick one it should be people related because I love meeting interesting people. I've recently been hiking in Coonoor in India, and the local people there were fantastic as I travelled round each day. They invited me into their homes for tea, and once when I was going off trail, (which you really shouldn't do there) a whole group of locals were gathered to tell me I shouldn't go further and they pretty much walked me back to the trail to make sure I didn't go off in another 'stupid' direction.
