About Me

I work with tourism, make watercolor paintings, have a bachelor's in history and a master's in philosophy. I'm a professional procrastinator and part time traveler. I moved to Lisbon with my husband 2 years ago and now we just want to explore and travel as much as we can before choosing our next long term destination!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We're a very chill couple and love getting to meet new people. I used courchsurfing by myself a few times and now we're deciding to give it a go as a couple.

Interests

It changes a lot, but new cultures, reading, learning, painting, drawing... I just love expressing myself through different types of art, I like trying to understand other perspectives of the world and travelling helps a lot with that

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm listening mostly to folk (indie, pop, rock, you name it) and post rock. Also into progressive rock and some indie and it's always great hearing different stuff.
I like any movie that tells a story in an interesting way. My favourite directors at this point are probably Spike Jonze, Wes Anderson and Lars Von Trier. Also on my favourite list are Into the Wild, Another Earth, Like Crazy, Where the Wild Things Are...
I read a lot of history and philosophy books, mostly about 20th century european history, existentialism and phenomenology. I also love classic american literature, Tolstoy, C S Lewis, Jules Verne, Emily Bronte, etc etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Applied to a master's, passed, graduated from a bachelor's, got engaged, got married and moved across the ocean in a 2 month span.

Teach, Learn, Share

I guess I can teach portuguese and spanish, it's always fun hearing other people's accents trying to speak it. I'm an artist and an academic, so we could get into artsy/lectury stuff. Also, my husband is a barista, so if you host us you'll definitely get some awesome coffee!
