About Me
Some words to describe me: people person, active, open-minded, extreme extrovert, very curious, enthusiastic, adventure-seeking, passionate, easy-going, positive, in love with life... just want to have an inspiring and memorable experience, and make the best of every situation! I have a very wide variety of interests, but some of my biggest passions are traveling, live music, singing, dancing, yoga, hiking, learning, volunteering, personal wellness and self development.
Some quotes I stand behind:
"Sky above me, earth below me, fire within me."
"When's the last time you did something for the first time?"
"I haven't been everywhere, but it's on my list."
"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page."
"You're not really wealthy until you have something money can't buy."
"Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard. Do not let pain make you hate. Do not let the bitterness steal your sweetness. Take pride that even though the rest of the world may disagree, you still believe it is a beautiful place."
"Do not ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive."
"Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not."
"Live simply so that all may simply live."
"La vida no es lo que crees, sino lo que creas."
"Just when you think you know something, you have to look at it in a different way."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've couchsurfed in Germany, Belgium, and all around Spain, where i've had great experiences and met wonderful people, some who became lifelong friends. I love the idea of people helping other people, simply for that reason. No money transactions, no huge expectations - just people wanting to share what they know and how they live with others, to hopefully let someone else experience the same good feelings they have about their own town, and maybe learn something new. This is why I love humanity right here.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I love being around live music and I can't help but to move my body when I hear it. My favorite type of music is Oldies (anything really, but especially soul and funk) and electropop/synthpop/indietronica, but truly I like and can appreciate almost every type of music.
Movies: I have so many favorite movies, but my favorites are the ones that have a little drama, a little romance, and a little comedy all tied into one! I also love movies that are thought-provoking, leave me in awe, or make me cry at the end. I ALSO love documentaries.
Books: I love memoirs and self-growth/help kind of books. Educated by Tara Westover, The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls, Eckhart Tolle, Born a Crime by Trevor Noah, Brene Brown, Michael Pollan, and many more on my list to read... I love reading but I am pretty slow.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Most recently, that would be hiking Half Dome. Other things would be living in Costa Rica with Amigos de Las Americas for 2 months; living in Granada, Spain for a year and taking all my classes in Spanish; backpacking all over Europe; sunrise/set over Grand Canyon; and so much more! I look forward to sharing stories when we meet!
Teach, Learn, Share
Every moment is an opportunity to learn and I really believe that it is important to remind yourself to be curious and always be an attentive student of everyone around you. There is always something to learn from every person and every situation.
I love learning how to cook new recipes, I want to learn more musical instruments, and just learn more about the world and current events in general.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Some skills I can share are English/Spanish language, song, ballroom/social dance, macrame, and my general wisdom/life advice in many areas! :) Also, I am now getting certified as a yoga teacher!
