About Me

ABOUT ME

I traveled a bit here and there and got a chance to meet amazing people through couchsurfing and in many other ways. I am finally stopping for some time in Vancouver:)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I surf and meet people in new places I travel to. I hosted some people when I had an opportunity to. In general I use CS to make new friends and learn about places that I go to. I met really cool folks through here and I'm looking forward to meeting many more

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I think interactions with others is one of the most powerful experiences we have in life. Thy shape us in a subtle but important ways. Couchsurfing allows us to walk into midst of peoples' lives, so I take it as an opportunity to fill up my life with novelty and goodness while leaving a positive mark in other peoples' lives.

Interests

I am a pretty active person with no particular talents but I like snowboarding, hiking, cross country skiing, dacning and climbing. I like to read a good book, travel, and I'm always down to try new things.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy various types of music that I cannot easily categorize and I love being exposed to new music. Live jams and randomly breaking into songs are some of my favorite things (I may not have all the necessary skills, but I've got enthusiasm that usually makes up for it)

Love to read a good book when I have the time, and I need to learn to make more time for that. Always looking for recommendations to add to my ever-growing "to-read" list (which I am not keeping up with, but still happy to expand).
Some of my favorites include Ischmael, The Story of B, The Brothers Lionheart, Siddhartha, The Prophet, Americanah, The name of the wind, Hunger games, Things Fall Apart

As for the movies I'm usually too consumed with the process of movie selection to actually get around to watching it... I end up not seeing a lot of movies.... from what I've seen my top pics would be Songs of the Sea, Momento, Dead man walking, Lion King, Manchester by the sea, Forrest Gump, Hunt for the Wilderpeople

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

meeting amazing people that make me believe in angles. Getting to roll in snow with them, watching sunrises, walking, eating, watching fire, singing, dancing... The magic for me is about the connections. There have been moments that I felt it doing the most mundane things.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am an absorbing sponge. You can interest me with anything, because I find everything interesting, and I am constantly amazed and humbled how much there is to learn.

I can probably teach you something, but what it is, is not easily identifiable. I know few things not very well, so I could either teach or learn it from you depending on who you are.

I love hearing and sharing stories. Around a shared meal or fire, or music.
