CURRENT MISSION

To balance out the spiritual and human sides of my life...My goal is to travel and learn more about meditation so I can eventually open a free centre in NZ; I am also starting to learn more about activism and the earth...

ABOUT ME

Um. I am a vegetarian, non-smoker, small but strong inside; generally optimistic but I am saddened by our lack of respect for mother earth. I am an extroverted introvert, inwardly shy but love to meet people and make connections. I am loving, compassionate, I just want everyone to be happy! I am also self-doubting and self-deprecating at times.
Aren't we all the same really??

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to learn, to explore, to create, to give back, and hopefully I can touch a few lives as well.
I believe that we can choose our reactions to events and how we learn from them.
I believe we can always choose to see the good in all situations.
I am just trying to be a good human bean.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been in the UK & Ireland for two and 1/2 months and only had one week in a bed&breakfast; everything else is due to the kindness of friends.. I would love to be able to do the same for other people soon.

Interests

I'm interested in this life in general, Gaia and her people and how we function (or dont) together, the strange 'coincidences' that lead us to meet new friends and make new decisions. I love being surprised by life. I love music, dance, meditation, travelling, learning, creativity, friendship

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Dub, reggae, world, folk, D&B, electronic, atmospheric! I love the soulful sounds coming out of my country now
Movies: Amelie, Mirrormask, Baraka, Tibet:Cry of the Snow Lion (And kids movies like Finding Nemo!)
Books: Anything spiritual or environmental I can get my hands on..
Also 'Memoirs of a Geisha', 'Q&A', 'The Time Traveller's Wife'

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

snorkelling with sting rays..
a baby monkey that held my finger with its hand...
sunrises seen from a tent porch...
sitting on a hill on the last day of a festival in New Zealand, and realising all I can hear all around me is happy chatter and giggles and laughter...
It might sound cheesy but its simple things I remember as blessings in my life

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to teach people to meditate, to cook good vegetarian food, to play poi!
I would love to learn guitar, anything musical, or even just share knowledge by talking over tea : )
