Hullo! I'm a fellow human-being with a passion for snails, slugs, worms, frogs & all things slimey. My favourite hobby growing up was keeping these as pets (I used to keep caterpillars too, even though they aren't slimey. But it was fun watching them eat & grow & turn into butterflies). My hobbies now are slightly different & perhaps more normal (but what's normal anyway); I enjoy dance (West Coast Swing), soccer, making clay figurines, drawing cartoons, & I LOVE EATING (especially food that has different colours, textures & tastes -- always an adventure for my tastebuds. The only problem, though, is that I'm a terribly slow eater; but to compensate for the time spent eating, I walk quickly).

I love new experiences, learning things, meeting new people & forming quality friendships. I'm a generally optimistic person who sees the good in people & situations & who believes that the world is a beautiful place filled with unique persons & all this uniqueness just adds to the vibrancy & variation in the world. And this, I reckon, is what helps me survive. People often say that life is a struggle. I think life is meant to be a struggle, & mindset matters most.

I value honesty, humility, optimism, perseverance, simplicity & child-likeness. My general goal in life is to bring joy to the people I meet, as well as to continually strive to be a better person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My sister introduced it to me & I think it's an excellent way of getting to know people from all walks of life & fully immerse oneself in a different country/culture when visiting a new place.

Music, Movies, and Books

Oldies (e.g. Beatles, Queen, Abba), Classical music, songs from musicals (e.g. Les Miserables, The Sound of Music), mainstream things (e.g. songs by Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Chainsmokers, Coldplay etc.) especially ones that I can dance to.
No favourite movies but depending on my mood, I enjoy animations by Tim Burton, Pixar; action films, musicals, anything soccer/dance related, or nice wholesome movies like the Greatest Showman or ones that make me think like Ready Player One.
Digestible books with underlying messages/morals are the best (e.g. The Little Prince, The Giving Tree, Winnie-the-Pooh), I have also enjoyed To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, and Through the Looking-glass/Alice-in-wonderland is great for de-stressing.
