About Me
Hey CS,
So, I usually host in Baja California, Mexico but I am at the moment traveling around Europe AND I would really like to meet some cool locals & fellow travelers.
Generalmente vivo y ofrezco hospedaje en Baja Baja California, Mexico pero ahora estoy viajando por Europa Y tengo muchas ganas a conocer gente local y viajeros andando en este parte del mundo.
ABOUT ME
I love to travel and meet locals from whatever region I am in. Just like when I host people in Baja Mexico or Southern California...locals know best :)
In 2012 I did 7month bicycle trip through Mexico and Cuba = it was Amazing! Did about 5000km, lots of camping, tried new stuff and met tons of great people along the way.
In late 2012 into early 2013 I spent 6 months traveling in South East Asia. It was a tremendous experience that really opened my eyes to asian culture and I loved it.
My favorite place was the Philippines probably because it is not too touristy, the people are SUUUUUPER nice & the culture reminded me of cultura Mexicana.
In 2014 I left for Europe but never really made it haha well I spent a few lovely (super cold) weeks in the UK, but then I went to Tenerife (Canary Island off the African coast) and I didn't want to leave.
After I got "kicked out" of the schengen (Visa expired) I headed to Morocco and feel in LOVE. The people are super nice, the food is great, the nature is beautiful, the transpiration is easy to use and I wasn't sure that I was ever going to leave ;)
But after 4-5months in Morocco here I am once again in Europe, visiting friends I have made on the road and making new ones all the time.
I hope we can meet up and hang out!
I moved from Los Angeles to Baja Mexico in order to be closer to the beach and surf where there wasn't a million other people in the water. And I actually ended up getting way more than I expected and now consider Baja my home base because I absolutely love it there (friends, culture, pace of life, etc.). Please mention the word "Chicano" somewhere in your request to stay with me.
PHILOSOPHY
Live life simple, be conscious of the world you live in and give as much as you can to your fellow bothers & sisters.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
One day I decided to go on a 80kilometer bike ride and managed to get lost :( ...it was 32-degrees with 100% humidity and I was becoming dehydrated.
I managed to find my way to Guanabo, a small little beach town 2 hours or so east of Havana. There I met "la Senora"...she was working in a little store right off the street selling snacks & juice. I asked her if she knew of a place where I could crash for the night.
After about 15 minutes she came back and told me she found me a spot for $12 a night...perfect! I just needed to get to the bank and take out some money :)
When I got to the bank it was closed and all I had was $5 on me.
I returned and thanked "La Senora" for all of her help and that I told her that I was just going to go to beach, find some shade & try to make my way back home after a few hours of rest.
"La Senora" would not hear of this...she told me to follow her to her house and that I can "couchsurf" at her place.
When I got to her humble home her daughter had a warm plate of arroz con pollo waiting for me and I was treated like family.
Amazing experience!
