ABOUT ME

I grew up in Bogota Colombia, lived in Canada for 7 years (Montreal and Toronto), lived 1 year in Barcelona, 1 year in the Netherlands, 6 months in Brazil, backpacked for 1 year and lived 3 years in the Amazon. Now I work between the Amazon and Bogotá in conservation and indigenous peoples rights.

I am really easy going, laid back and try to be funny. I love music (almost everything) and play the drums. I enjoy meeting people from all over the world.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in respect, peace, tolerance and learning. I like to have fun and enjoy life without hurting anybody, for me enjoying life also involves helping people and growing intellectually as well as partying.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Through the website I stayed in a couple of places in Brazil and loved it. I have slept in many couches around the world and believe it is a great way to meet people.

Interests

Music: rock, latin music, salsa, reggae, jazz, fusion, metal etc.

I love to read, it is part of why I studied sociology. Very interested in Social justice and making a difference.

I love other cultures and of course travelling.

I have worked a lot with kids in my live and I love it.

Of course I love to travel cheap, hike, camp, and go to places were local people live.

I love art and try to go to museums.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like literature and particularly semi philosophical novels like Hesse, Camus, Sartre, Sabato, etc.. But I also enjoy simple literature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I paddled down the amazon river on a surf board for 1500km.

I guess the most amazing project I have and what i am most proud of is my relationship with my family and friends, I have the best of both worlds.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you around and I will listen to what you would like to do, I can teach percussion, spanish and salsa dancing. Maybe some Colombian cooking as well.
