ABOUT ME
I am an easy going dude, child like at heart, who enjoys a simple, happy, and fun life...people are important..connections and friends moreso...I follow my heart and live quite differently than most...i have lots of time but not lots of money..but that suits me..a nice combination i think..presently i live in a wee village of 220 people of turkish and gypsy origin in the countryside of bulgaria..about 1 hr from the coast..eg varna and bourgas...im renovating my summer cottage here, and growing a lot of organic veges...trying to teach the locals some basic permaculture techniques to help enhance thier crop returns and quality of life...i ride a motorbike and hope to do some journeys overland on it from here..much to explore...ive been travelling for many years..going to india for 23 years or so..mustve spent at least 10 years there in total...been out of australia now..my other adopted country, about 10 years...a gypsy at heart, i hate borders, passports, nationalism, bureaucracy, ideologues and idiots...oh..and throw in there blind faith and religious fools...religion i believe, is the basis of all evils...
PHILOSOPHY
Why do i live my life..
hmm..certainly not to breed...leave that one for the fools..dont believe in this biological imperative..life too short and theres enuf of us parasites out there already...
to be free, to be capable, to be friendly, to care, to share, to love, to live..to learn, to teach..to infuse..to confuse...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
i want to offer my spare room that i have here in my house in the countryside, as a chill out spot for fellow couch surfers, whom are maybe on the hippy trail..on the way thru from europe to asia,,,i can accomadate up to like 3 people..4 at a squeeze..
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
well..ive been a couch surfer at heart for years...and feel that the inpromptu meetings of peoples and the sharing of true non touristic oriented travels are the best , and the ones i reflect upon the most from my years of travel...

Music, Movies, and Books
love to read..feel its a sure sign of a decadent indulgent lifestyle...nothing better than that thud on your chest, on the hammock, after a nice lunch, as your novel falls from your fingers as you nod off for that post munch out nap.....as a traveller, i find myself reading out the limited supplies of books that i think i would groove on, to start reading the b graders..and finding myself plesantly suprised often...
i like a wide variety of music...to fit ones moods..but must admit have a attraction at the moment for some good goa trance...break beats..minimal drum and bass
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
too many to mention...many people say i should write a book...but im hoping for a lot more amazing things to happen...

What I Can Share with Hosts
After a few negative experiences with couch surfers who have taken the piss over the years, I feel I need to outline a few of my expectations.
CS to me is not about doing things on a zero or minimalist budget…extracting as many nights of accommodation, eating as much of your hosts food, basically “using’ the host like a parasite.
I do have expectations.
Whilst I do ensure that I provide clean sheets on a nice bed in your own room, comfortable warm safe surroundings, food in the cupboard, alcohol in the fridge, access to the internet, a washing machine to clean your clothes, and I may even offer to pick you up from the train station if need be, I would like to think that any CSer I have in my place would like to help contribute to maintaining this “giving” ethos and environment.
I do not expect to be eaten outve house and home. If we go shopping together I expect the CSer to put their hand in their pocket “voluntarily” and contribute towards the food that they have and will eat. To get to the train station chews a few litres of fuel….is it to much to expect a person who is coming to stay for free to offer to pay for the fuel?. I do not think so. If someone stays a while then a few levs towards electricity, internet,...whatever is not to much to ask for i think. And to me, really, i do not think i have to ask. I do not want to have to clean up after a CSer, and would rather I felt that the person had in fact contributed positively towards being here... helping me somehow, sharing something with me and or the local gypsy community here.
It saddens me to write this, but sadly, i have been bitten by a few Cs'ers out there...whom i cant be bothered writing a negative reference about ...who really should have known better.
To avoid any future problems, if you contact me regarding a couch, please somehow acknowledge in your contact that you have read and understand this here that i am referring to. Id appreciate that. Cheers.
