About Eléonore : I'm a 26 years old franco-scottish journalist student who has lived and travelled around the world, but it never seems to be enough, does it ?
I'm currently taking a year off to go travelling around Central and South America with my other half.
I've always hesitated between becoming a journalist and a teacher, until I realised the border was really thin and that I just wanted to inform and teach (in a non-pejorative way) people.
I've joined CS in 2011 but haven't been able to host too much (family house or closed minded roommates), or use it (travelling with a van most of the time) so I'm super excited to use it for good !
Tim and I will of course open our home as soon as we come back. Cause you can't receive without giving !

About Tim :
Tim is a 29 years old bio-chemist who ended up in finance. After 3 years at Bristol University he decided to go back home to his beautiful island of Jersey and started a career as an accountant. He has travelled a lot (South America, USA, Asia, Australia) but never really heard about CS. He's now looking forward to discover a new way of travelling, more connected to the people and their cultures !

E : I think that we've arrived to a new era where people don't feel obliged to spend time with other people as our society gives us the opportunity not to. Private rooms, a phone to talk to, take away food, music and headphones, etc. I want to force myself out of there !
There are 2 ways of discovering a country, and the best one is with locals. It's a win win situation. As a tourist, you discover the authentic city, and as as local, you see things in a new way !

E : Travelling has to be number one.
Meeting new, interesting people, eating good food (and drinking good wine or beer)
Learn more about a culture, a country, through history, legends and anecdotes !

E : Decided to leave my old life in Brussels and Europe to move to a tiny island called Jersey, to be with this amazing guy that is now my travelling and life partner.
