Overview
About Me
I'm an English music student currently living in London, studying at King's College, London.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The most exciting thing about Couchsurfing is the fact that it offers to connect people that otherwise wouldn't meet. I love meeting new people, exploring different countries, their cities, their people and their cultures. No trip or adventure will ever be the same.
Interests
I am obsessed with music... of practically any genre. I go through phases of being really enthusiastic about one specific style of music. For example, this time last year I was really into Brahms; now I'm thinking about writing my dissertation on Bollywood. I love how music connects people - everyone loves music. If you say you don't, you're lying.
I love running and walking as well; incidentally, in my opinion, the best way to get to know a new city or town.

Music, Movies, and Books
Like I said, I'm pretty into Bollywood at the moment... but my job involves me singing a lot of choral music. So much fun to sing and so beautiful. It's the time of the year when I get to sing lots of Finzi, Elgar and Howells - a bit English, but I like it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don't think I have done anything amazing... not in the "I found myself in Asia" kind of way, anyway. What a sad thought.
I do know how to lamb a sheep though... I think that's kind of amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
Whenever I go to a new city, I feel like it's important to meet a real resident and learn about the real city - not just the stuff in the tourist guide books.
For example, if I was showing you around London, I would avoid Harrods, Leicester square and Oxford Street like the plague and instead take you for a walk around St. James' park, a cocktail overlooking Trafalgar Square and evensong at St. Paul's Cathedral (no admission fee during services... cheeky.) And we'd go everywhere by bus - the tube is for losers.
This is such an exceptional and diverse world that we live in. Let's share it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Cooking features heavily in my life as well. I know that English cooking doesn't have much of a reputation globally, but I can do a pretty good steak and chips, if I do say so myself.
