About Me

Hi, as you can see I am called Eleanor and I currently live in Glasgow, Scotland. I love to travel and meet new people and I am a fairly fun, chatty person who will never say no to a glass of wine or a can of beer. I am currently studying mechanical engineering and hoping to go on to renewable, I love everything to do with outside such as hiking, camping... You name it. I have a particular fondness for Czech people as I lived in Prague for a year and it stole my heart. I am into all music from techno to metal.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love embracing other cultures. The more diverse the world is, the better an environment it will be. I could quite happily travel for the rest of my life and every country I have been to seems to take my breath away. I love meeting new people and learning how they are similar to me and how they are different. This seems like a nice affordable way to meet people and actually not spend time doing touristy shit :)

Interests

Too many, I am quite into sports such as hiking, canoeing, gaelic football, wall climbing, circuit type sports etc...I will try anything once. I like drinking, drinking is a particular favourite past time and coupling wine with cheese sounds like my sort of thing. I like going to see new sites or things that genuinely interest others. I love camping, going to bars and meeting new people. I am not very shy and like hearing what other people have to say. I love to read and listen to music. I can't really say which genre as it changes so much but I will always be a rocker at heart :) I love hearing bands from other countries, I like to expand my taste. I also LOVE trying new food, I will try anything!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teach, Learn, Share

I would want to learn everything about your culture, country, musical taste etc... as I think your country will have a strong influence on you. You can try to even teach me a few dishes that are popular in your home, what music you like, what activities people normal do from where you are from etc... And anything cool or different :) I can teach you about my culture, some Irish, what I have learned already from travelling etc... We can share experiences that have defined us over a nice drink of tea ( the Irish way) or maybe some wine? :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

My humour, the very few Irish dishes i can cook. A night full of laughter and fun...coupled with a couples of glasses of wine :) Also I can teach you how to win a thumb war as I am a mother fucking BOSS!
