About Me
What to say about myself? People usually think I´m very shy, but only for some of them. When I feel comfortable with you, you will see I´m very talkative and sociable person!
I come from a small town around 25km from Prague. After I graduated Photography at Academy of Performing arts in Prague I have started boring full time working life :)
In my little spare time I do a some sport (well, after sitting minimum of 9 hours a day in front of computer at work it really is quite necessary thing), then I spend lot of time reading, meeting my friends, watching movies, going to concerts and stuff people usually do not to get crazy in ordinary life :)
Also love travelling (of course!), hiking in countryside, sea, mountains, tea, evenings spended with a good movie or nice conversation over a glass of good wine ... Well, and I´m crazy about maps. I can be looking into maps all day long!
When comes to travelling, I´m in love with Scandinavian countries and I´ve been studying in Finland for 5 months. Out of Scandinavia I am fond of Great Britain. Two years ago I spent 6 amazing months of working internship in UK, where I surfed few couches and met amazing people.
People usually describe me: "that short blonde girl..." So, it´s me. Maybe you will find out more when we meet.
PHILOSOPHY
Who wants - is finding the ways, who doesn´t want - is finding excuses.
That´s something I believe to. I always try to find the ways. Important is do not give up.
and personaly quite actual one: "If you don't know where you're going, any road will get you there." (Lewis Carroll)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I love it, met always nice, interesting people there and because couchsurfing gives you completely new travel experience. It helps you seeing a new country better and from different perspective and that opens you new sight of world.
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Surfing, finally offering couch and spreading the great CS idea to all people around me.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I started surfing couches with my sister Veronika (http://www.couchsurfing.org/people/veruuu8/), after some time I´ve started couchsurfing on my own.
Since May 2012 I´ve been offering a couch in my home town and although i live in small, lazy, for most of people ugly town, I hosted 3 nice couchsurfers so far.
Sometimes I travel with my boyfriend Jirka (38), who doesn´t speak English, only a bit German and Russian. Hope you will not mind my silent company. He is a nice guy and maybe just you´ll make him speak:)
Interests
Photography, contemporary art and culture, maps, diy, hiking and traveling (unfortunatelly often only with my finger on maps but love real traveling too), food (when there is a time i like to cook) and interesting people.
Also have to say that I love learning and using languages, even though I quite suck at them. So, I´m sorry to all native english speakers for destroying such a beautiful language.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like movies with strong stories as Into the Wild, Beautiful mind, Lives of Others, ... I used to be a member of film club, and still enjoy visiting small club theaters to watch indipendent movies.
I know nothing about music and often get into trouble when somebody want to know what kind of music I listen to. I´m quite open when comes to music, I can listen to almost everything. Most often I enjoy various soundtracks from movies (Pulp fiction), U2, Cranberries, Pinkfloyd, Nightwish, Alan Stivell, Nouvelle Vague,... sometimes can enjoy even classical music.
Love books by John Irving.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I haven´t travelled to many countries and I kinda live in my small world... but even though think there are plenty of amazing things I´ve done or seen, though some people wouldn´t consider them amazing at all.
Teach, Learn, Share
I don´t think I have any special ability or knowledge to teach. But I´d like to see how common people in other countries live, share a little time we have in our lives and learn about new cultures ...
I myself can transform to an eager czech culture guide in a minute. I love talking with interesting people and can be a good listener as well.
