ABOUT ME

my partner leo and i are a queer couple living in chicago. we're both artists and researchers - i work with scent (olfactory art) and technology and leo is a ceramicist and digital fabricator. together we also make videos. we love to eat, play games, watch movies, bike, and lay in the sun with our friends when it's nice out.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

the two of us took a six month long trip last year and met so many lovely people through cs. now that we're back in chicago and have a stable home, we're really excited to be able to start hosting folks at our apartment. we love chicago more than any other city in the world and are so happy to get to share all of the little things we like about it with people visiting.

at this point, we're opening up our home exclusively to femmes, queer, trans, and gnc folks coming through chicago, as we know it can be hard to feel comfortable and safe on cs while being visibly queer. leo is transmasculine and i identify as non-binary so we hope to make people of any gender expression feel comfortable in our home. we're also plugged in to queer networks throughout the city so can point folks towards queer neighborhoods, events, etc.

!!! absolutely no racism/transphobia/sexism is tolerated !!!

we love talking about food, films, books, fashion, perfume, music, plants, food, places, and many other things also! if you are excited about something we want to talk to you about it!

we're both really into games (we made a scent board game last year! ask us about it) and would love if couchsurfers can show/teach us a game that's played in the place they live.

we care deeply about environmental issues (and all issues of liberation and justice) and would love to meet people similarly inclined who can tell us about what justice work and strategies are being done where they're from. we'd love to share the things that we've been engaged with as well!

i'm obsessed with learning about scent, so that's something you have any interest in, we'll get along perfectly! if there's a particular scent that you wear or is popular where you're from, i'd love to smell/hear about it :)

i also really like learning about tarot, so would be super interested in trading readings if you read too.

we can make you food/tea or write you a poem or play a game with you or tell you a story. i know a lot about essential oils and could teach you about how to use them therapeutically. i also read tarot and would love to do a reading for you!
