Starting a trip, learning a new language and gaining teaching experience.

ABOUT ME

I am a very positive person and I believe in people's kindness and help. I love teaching kids as much as I love dancing tango. I was a ballet dancer for 15 years and I have been teaching tango for 3 years in university. I have travelled in London and Rome as an Erasmus student and I really enjoyed being there. I was born in Athens, Greece and I completed my studies about a year ago. I am now living and working in London, chasing a teaching career but my true desire is to travel all around world on two wheels learning and experiencing other civilisations. I have a good partner, whom I share the same dream with and we are now planning to drive from Greece to London on a 112cc motorcycle.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in the phrase; "If everyone could contribute just a little brick in our world's future, then we would offer our kids a better life." I really hope I will have this in mind every day I am a teacher, because to me it's a fundamental truth whatsoever.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to participate in Couchsurfing either as a host or as a surfer. I am looking for a home in Milan and Paris where I could surf in my Greece-to-England trip and I would really love to offer my couch or mattress for anyone who needs it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have no couchsurfing experience, but I am an easygoing and outgoing person and I usually get along with people whom I just met. I find it exciting participating in a couchsurfing experience as it is the most giving act a person could offer to a stranger.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love tango music and especially the song "Querer".
My favourite author is Greek and she was usually writing about modern historical facts. My favourite movie is absolutely the "Notebook"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently met an elderly couple, who they have travelled all around world in the back of a motorcycle. They have spent most of their lifetime on and off road and they have met more than a million new people. The amazing thing about them is that they have created a whole web community and have ispired so many people to dare and live their life as they want to. Talking with them it was an apocalipsis to me and I have changed my way of thinking since then.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could easily offer begginers' tango teaching to anyone who has passion to learn. In exchange I would really love to learn Spanish at some point in my life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am willing to teach Languages to any of my hosts if they feel like it as long as dancing lessons to anyone who is brave enough to start them! Also I am a good cook, and an even better baker so I could offer a meal or a cake depending on the occasion.
