ABOUT ME

I'm a writer, first and foremost, above everything else. Writing is my way of reliving my adventures. I also relive other people's adventures by reading a lot. I am outgoing, friendly, and respectful.

I am queer and always looking for queers and queer-friendly local people to introduce me to the social and political LGBTQ scenes in new places. Sometimes my partner travels with me, sometimes I travel on my own.

PHILOSOPHY

I watched my brother die at 25, then three months later watched my grandfather die at 92. I'm currently trying to find a philosophy that reconciles the two, knowing I could die tomorrow or 60 years from now. Either way, I am determined to let go of the past, stop fretting about the future and live today.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm an engaging conversationalist, very interested in getting to know new people and places. I use couchsurfing to meet new people when I'm traveling and introduce travelers to towns where I live. Sometimes I have a couch available, sometimes I sleep on couches, depending on where I am in my life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted surfers in my home, surfed on couches, and gone to hosted meet-ups all over the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once got a gun pulled on my during an overnight train in Ukraine and did not pee my pants, which I think is quite an accomplishment.
