I suppose that it's rather difficult to describe yourself in some sentences when you can write a novel about your life, but I'll try :-)

I'm a 20-year-old student at Moscow State University and study linguistics (it's more about general structure of all world's languages and different programmes that work with texts and speech than just learning foreign languages), but I was born in Saint-Petersburg (which is considered as the most Europian city in Russia) and it's still my favorite city :-)

I like travelling because for me it's the best way to turn my life upside down, leave my comfort zone and find some adventures. It's also the best way to learn how people live all over the world because books will never replace real experience and news(papers) are rarely objective. Furthermore I'm an extrovert and like meeting new people but unfortunately I have few changes to do that while studying but while traveling nothing stops me :-)

I also like getting new expearences (sometimes very strange ones) because when if not now? :-)

I consider myself to be an open-minded and easygoing person who believes in Universal Declaration of Human Rights (especially in the fact that all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights), well, a "good guy" and I hope all my friends will agree with it, but you can try to make your own sense :-)

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Well, during my summer journay I spent some very good evenings with the locals and hope to repeat it in my next trips. And couchsurfing is the best way to meet the locals make friends with them :-) Also I suppose it's very hard to learn much about the country from just walking around and who can tell more about the country/city than one who lives there?

Also I'm a very talkative person and like telling funny stories about my adventures and my country, but at the same time I'm fond of listening to others as everyone has done something I've never done or even heard.

Unfortunately I can't be a host now, because I'm a student and live in the university campus now, where we are not allowed to receive guests, but I can be your guide in Saint-Petersburg or Moscow.

兴趣

I am a linguist some I'm keen on languages. There're like 7000 natural languages in the world. How is it possible not to lover at least one of them?)

Also I'm keen on europian history and learning new interesting historical facts, because maybe it's the only way not to repeit at least some of the mistakes of the past. And, well, there are so many cool historical guys :-) They he a done a lot of amazing things I would like to do too)

Also I can't imagine my live without music. I'm listening to it everywhere. It's one of the best opportunitis to relax for me.

And finally I'm a football and hockey fan. Not a stereotypical girl's hobbies, yeah?)

In my playlist there are a lot of russian rock and punk rock groups. Among foreign groups most of all I like Queen and Muse.

What abou favorite books... Well, it's very difficult to list all of them, because I regard all books that I would like to reread as favorite. Maybe I can name Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov, The Gulag Archipelago by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn and Fandorin novels by Boris Akunin among my favorite books in russian. Also I adore Harry Potter, Tolkien's novels, Duma's novels, some books by Charles Dickens and detective stories by sir Conan Doyle and Agatha Christie. And Game of the Throne :-) I've read all the books and can't wait for the next one :-) (I believe that John Snow is alive :-) )

And on the other hand I can't say I have any favorite movies because there were a lot of films I liked during watching them but I cant't remember any I'd like to see again. Also I'm keen on some series. Queer as folk, Downton Abbey and Sherlock are among my favorite ones.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Last summer (2015) I passed my last exam, packed my luggage and returned to Saint-Petersburg. The next day I took my rucksack, met best friend and went to the bus stop, where buses to Helsinki set up. I wasn't sure what time the bus would go and if there would be free places.

During next two weeks we visited Helsinki, Tallinn, Riga, Vilnius, Prague, Vienna, Budapest and Athens. And then I found ourselves climbing up to Acrocorinth, which was the furtherst point of our journay :-)

Also I've spent 3 weeks in one of siberian cities and I'm still alive ;-)

Well, I can teach your some Russian words (if someone still wants to learn Russian). Also I can teach you to play chess or just show some interesting problems. And I can talk about linguistics for hours and can try to teach you to pronounce some strange consonant sounds :-)
