About Me
I'm curious, love to find out about new places, people, and food, learning new languages, and am always in for a good laugh.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
meeting new people, sharing, exploring, gaining new perspectives,
discovering new and old places through the poeple living in them or with people who are just as curious about them as me :)
I'm convinced we can always learn new things
and sometimes we have to relearn things
and that we can learn and relearn from each other

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC
Music!!! I am open to different genres, although my favourite bands and artists usually come from the indie- folk, indie-rock, indie-pop scene.
Some of them are: Fleet Foxes, Devendra Banhart, Soley, Soko, Iron and Wine, Florence and the Machine, Alt-J, The Shoe, Nouvelle Vague
Soundtracks: Orlando, Into the Wild, Le Fabouleux Destin d'Amélie Poulin, Pride and Prejudice...
Also, I sing in a choir and I think it's nourishing my soul. :)
FILMS
Pride and Prejudice (my guilty pleasure)
Orlando
The King's Speech
Only Lovers Left Alive
BOOKS
Apparently the Japanese have a word for the condition of buying books until they pile up into a mountain of unread material: I guess I'm guilty of Tsundoku.... however, there are a few books I've read and loved, here they are:
Miscellaneous
His Dark Materials - Trilogy by Philip Pullman
The Sally Lockhart Series by Philip Pullman
Orlando by Virginia Woolf
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
Peter Pan (Peter and Wendy) by James Matthew Berrie
Paul Auster
Poetry
Poems by Dylan Thomas (especially The force that through the green fuse drives the flower)
Drama
Shakespeare (especially King Lear, The Tempest, and the Comedy of Errors)
Wilde, The Importance of being Earnest
Edgar, Pentecost
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
singing in a choir
having met wonderful people that I'm so happy to be able to call my friends
living at the sea
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd like to hear about your stories, if you can show me how to play the guitar or share your experience as a learner... and/or to speak Russian that would be great
anything really... surpise me with something I don't know yet :D
I can teach how to make home made pesto, some words of German and Italian, a tongue twist in a North-Italian dialect...
What I Can Share with Hosts
stories, a glass of wine, a meal, a walk through the park, and my point of view on why grammar is a wonderful thing, laughter, silence, understanding
Countries I’ve Visited
Belgium, Cambodia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Morocco, Netherlands, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom
Countries I’ve Lived In
