My name is Elena, I'm 27 and I'm from Belgium. Originally from a small village near the French border (so in the French-speaking part of Belgium), I've been living in Brussels for nearly 4 years now. Having found a job there that I'm happy with (I'm managing the development of a car-sharing Application), a lover with whom I'm building a beautiful relationship (the lucky one's name is Nikita) and being surrounded by wonderful friends, while being less than 100km from my family to whom I'm very close, I think I’m going to stay there for a while.

At first sight, I have a rather calm temperament. But once I've settled down, like any good Belgian, I love a good laugh and people who don't take themselves too seriously.

I'm very tidy and respectful, and I'll take the greatest care of the facilities you put at my disposal. As a child, I used to have fun tidying up my parents' house from top to bottom. Fortunately, today I have found other passions, the most important of which is dancing. I started with ballet and modern dance. Today, I mainly do contemporary dance, but I also enjoy rock, bachata, ragga or the music of any bar where there's a party atmosphere 💃🏻

Unfortunately, I'm living with a flatmate and can't accommodate you at the moment. However, I can be available for any other requests, and hope to be able to take the plunge and host people in my turn, my dream being to have my own guest house someday🤗

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm brand new to the platform. Given my personality, which places a lot of importance on relationships and caring for others, and being quite concerned about the climate issues we face today, I'd like to experience my travels differently, by:
- Considering travel as part of the adventure and not just a means to an end;
- Opting for accommodation and activities that are more in keeping with the activities of the regions I visit;
- Valuing human encounters as part of the journey.
