My Name is Elena. I'm 19 years old. Yes, I know I'm still a child in the U.S. I'm from Germany but I'm also half Italian. I just graduated high school in Germany in 2016.

Currently I'm an Au Pair in Glencoe, IL. My Au Pair Year ends in August 2017, then I'm going back to Germany.
I would like to welcome the people who hosted me when I'm back in Germany, because at this time I'm living with a host family together.

For those who doesn't know what an Au Pair is: it's being something like a Nanny just that you're staying with the family who's kids you're taking care of.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing, because my goal for my Au Pair Year is to see as many cities in the U.S. as I can. I like about this platform that you're going to meet new people and maybe get the opportunity to get shown around by a local, so I get to see other things than just the typical tourist things.

I came to the US for a year literally 3 days after I graduated high school. And I wasn't used to live without "hotel Mama or hotel Grandma".

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach German and Italian things like typical meals, the language and culture.
Also I can give you swimming lessons, if you want to improve your technique (I used to be a competitive swimmer)

What I Can Share with Hosts

If someone is interested to go on a trip to Germany as soon as I arrived back there, it would be my pleasure to host him or her as well. (I'm living close to Cologne and Düsseldorf)
I would love to cook for my host I can offer Italian and German meals and I also can teach them both of these languages and their cultures.
