My name is Elena and I am a 23 year old explorer and lover of life!

Originally I am from a small farm in the Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts.

Currently, I own and operate a guesthouse with my partner Zachery in the south-west region of Puerto Rico.

After the hurricane Maria, our house suffered serious damage. My main focus this last year has been rebuilding the house and establishing the business. I am now ready to take a step away for a while to get back into my acting!

My main goal this year is to travel to a major city to audition for acting gigs.

I am easygoing and I love meeting new people, hanging out, watching movies, playing games or going out!

I studied theater at the University of Massachusetts with focuses in performance, costume construction and multicultural theater.

My previous job experience varies widely. I have worked on farms, as a nanny, a seamstress, a cleaner, in a chemistry laboratory, volunteered as a tutor in after-school programs, been an office administrator for a property management company and more.

I have travelled to around 20-30 different countries and absolutely love exploring new places. I hope to continue doing this through my whole life. Can't wait to meet you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a backpack only kind of traveller. I like having a flexible schedule when I'm exploring and I also LOVE meeting new people. I feel that Couchsurfing is the kind of community that would really suit me.

Oh man I always freeze up at questions like this...

I love Frank Ocean, Rihanna, Sylvan Esso, The Weeknd (his early music), Frank Sinatra, Kendrick, Lupe Fiasco, Eminem, but really anything when it comes to music..

A few of my favorite movies are The Incredibles, The Sweetest Thing, Arrival, Inception, Fight Club, Men In Black, Sherlock Holmes, Get Out, Frozen, I don't know there's too many!

As for books I love The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo trilogy, Journey Into the Flame, Redeeming Love, and many more! I've probably read more plays than I have books though. I've read most of Shakespeare, Sarah Ruhl, some Chekov countless others and many musicals.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm really fun to go dancing with if you want to go out! I'm not a huge drinker but I love having a good time.

I'm also more than happy to clean your kitchen or bathroom or something if you're interested. Having owned a guesthouse for the past year I am very good at cleaning!
