Hi, i'm Elena! I'm Romanian but I've moved to Italy when i was five years old and I actually grew up here. Travelling is my biggest passion. Until now I've been in Germany, Russia and Croatia. I'm a really outgoing person or at least that's what my friends say! , I love speaking(maybe too much sometimes, but I'm working on that) and meeting nwe people. I love reading, listening to music, watching films and all that good and chilled stuff. Another thing that I love is to take long walks in the nature, alone or maybe with a friend, especially in the evening or even at night during the summer .It helps me to distress and to get back on my feet.
I'm vegetarian and I try to be a balanced person by doing yoga and meditation but most of time I faile and quit doing it and then start again ; I'm pretty much a disaster when it comes to be really dedicated to something.
I'm also interessted in art, espcially paintings from the 15th and 16th century.
Next year I'm going to study PPE(Philosophy, Politics and Economics) at uni because i'm interested in human issues and my dream is to work at a NGO.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet new people that can actually share with me the habits of one place. I thing that if you stay in a hotel you lose a lot of the magic of the place, while staying with local people can be a really enriching experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

About music I could write a papyrus, I listen to a lot of music and to a lot of diffrent genre but if Ihave to chose some singer or bands that have had even an emotional impact on me I would say Green Day, Coldplay, Mumford and Sons ,Bob Dylan, One Republic and The Scripts . However as I said before I listen to all kind of music from commercial to grunge to hip hop!
Some of my favourite films are "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind", "Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain", "Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears","Pulp Fiction", and the "Lord of the Ring". As for tv series I have to say that my favourite one is Friends, I could watch it over and over again and still find it funny.
As for books I love "On the road" by Jack Kerouc, one of my biggest dream is to travel the USA from one coast to another with just 50 bugs in my pocket and by doing hitchhiking just like the protagonist . Another book that I love is La Force de l'âge from Simone de Beauvoir and lastly I would say Anna Karenina.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I haven't done much yet, but I'm planning my first Interreil in Eastern Europe and I'm really excited about it!
