Overview
About Me
Hey, I'm Elena, 24 years old, from Munich, Bavaria. I study International Relations and I’m trying to travel in all of my remaining free time. I live with my partner Vladimir, in case you request a couch. If I request you, I’m probably on my own or will let you know if otherwise.
I like off-the-beaten-path places, people and experiences.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
An interesting way to meet locals. And locals always know the best places! Also I want to learn dishes from all over the world and how to prepare them authentically. 🍽️
Unfortunately, I have to put this here: I don’t want to flirt with you, I am NOT here for dating and I’m happily taken, in a monogamous relationship! Don’t request/offer me a couch if you’re looking for a hookup!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- had a great time in Cuba after we went to the airport 27 hours too early (accidentally) and ended up in a small , totally untouristy and untouched village for the last night (where they didn't have signal/internet at all , it was like a time-travel). Amazing hospitality and a great way to end a backpacking trip in Cuba! 🏝️🛖
- Planned to stay 3 weeks in Romania, ended up 3 months. Made life-long friends (Looking at you, Cristi) and life-changing experiences. 10/10 would do it again) 🇷🇴♥️
- second degree sunburn in Belize, Central America and being aided by half the village with Aloe, ice and more! 🇧🇿🧊
- Tikal Mayan Ruins in Guatemala at sunset, it was stunning: watching the first wild animals going to sleep (the Coatis!) and listening to the rest of the jungle waking up. Also, saw my first Toucan there!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can show you how to cook proper German dishes.
I can tell you stories about my travels to more than 30 countries, my life in the city of Oktoberfest - Munich, my 5-year-experience in a boarding school in Southern Bavaria or about Romania, one of my most-loved countries, that i visited multiple times!
Ofc i can teach you bavarian insults (they're for sure funnier than standard-german ones), i hope you'll teach me some in your native language :D (why do people always want to learn insults at first? idk, :D...right after basic words like helllo, thanks, please... you know:) 🌐
We can exchange random facts, funfacts, nice-to-know-stuff and more from our countries.
What I Can Share with Hosts
As much flexibility as you request. I'm happy if you show me around, but i can get along on my own as well!
Stories and Curiosity
An almost certain Couch and Guide for Munich, once and if you come to visit! Even if I’m busy, as I already know you.
