ABOUT ME

I grew up in Maine, greatest state ever, and have lived on both sides of the states. In high school I traveled to Costa Rica and in college I studied abroad in Italy and absolutely loved the experiences. Traveling and living in different cultures makes me happy. I moved to NYC after college and I love NYC but after 4 years I started itching to travel again. I lived in Dunedin, NZ for almost 2 years and traveled through southeast Asia before (sadly) heading back home where I'm pretending to adult.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm a spur of the moment girl. Some things I plan cuz I have to...like 3 month trips to the unknown, but mostly I just like to pop into places and see how the spirit moves me! If it's a new experience, I'm game, if it's meeting new people, I'm game... I go where life leads me and enjoy the journey.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been lucky enough to have hosts in several countries and we've become friends and I'm still in touch with most of them! I'm just now starting to offer my couch to incoming surfers and I'm excited to meet new fun people!

Favorite movie: Amadeus, Favorite book: Ozma of Oz and anything by Lonely Planet, Favorite music: oy... Mozart, Ben Harper, Barenaked Ladies, Muse, Black Keys, Bon Iver, Brett Dennen...the list goes on ad nauseum. Probably easier to ask what music I don't like.

Ate crickets and other bugs at a road side bus stop in Cambodia. Definitely memorable!!

Can teach salsa and knitting, will happily learn any dance and need to practice my Spanish and Italian!
