About Me
CURRENT MISSION
make Geneva my new home after moving here a couple of months ago after several years of traveling and moving many times all around the world.
ABOUT ME
I grew up in Germany and then Australia and went back to Europe for my studies. I both love beach culture and the sea side but then I am a great urban enthusiast and European culture freak too.
In general I love living in new places and learn about new cultures and have really enjoyed living in different countries in the past or show around people from abroad in my own country.
After finishing my masters I went traveling for 7 months from Mexico to Columbia. I stayed in Mexico city for a while though because I loved the city and I became really good friends with the most amazing couch surfing host! In general, I had some great couchsurfing experiences traveling. I have now moved to Geneva a couple of months ago and work now on environmental policy stuff.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I had several great surfing and hosting experiences and some of my most amazing couchsurfing experience during my 7-months trip from Mexico to Columbia. I couchsurfed in Mexico city and then ended up staying for 2,3 months as I became best friends with my amazing couch surfing host :) I also couchsurfed around Mexico, El Salvador and Columbia.
Interests
I studied environmental policy so sustainability and global affairs are a great interest of mine as well as the whole discussion around Degrowth, sustainable living etc. as well as inclusive growth, decolonization etc.
I am also fascinated by urban development, design and architecture. In general, I am very big on urban culture, the arts as well as beach life, surfing and sailing.
Very.. very high up on my list ...food. Cooking and eating is one of the main things my friends and I end up doing most of the time and food has been one of the most important parts of traveling as well as re-discovering my own region.
Apart from that I am a great friend of coffee and bar culture, or just sitting around the kitchen table, picnic etc ;)
Sport is a big one although it has sort of suffered with coffee and beer entering my life... I've been doing Ballet and Acrobatics for much of my life as well as Contemporary dance and some Afrofusion, Yoga and Pilates in recent years.
