About Me

I am a Russian teaching assistant in U Penn (Fulbright).

Nothing excites me more than nature. Beautiful views of mountains, rivers, forests, white sandy beaches with palms, etc.
I'm a walker. I love walking and I have stamina to do that all day long and the next day and the next...
I also get inspired by the history of places. When I see old or ancient buildings I think of lives lived there and feel connected to the whole humanity

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Other people's lives are fascinating. It's always pleasant to confirm that mistakes do not exist, everyone is just having his/her own unique way. I'm on couchsurfing to inspire and get inspired as well as to have real authentic experience of each place through the people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Indie, folk, Russian classical Rock (with great metaphors and meaningful lyrics), pretty much everything with meaningful lyrics, actually.
I like Russian classical literature, fantasy, non-fiction.
I try to read something connected to the place, describing the place I'm being in. In Saint-Petersburg - Dostoevsky, in Siberia - Jack London (because of the snows and winters) and so on.
Thought-provoking movies, arthouse, festival movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in a tent on the wild beach one whole week (no civilization for some short time is the most precious thing a person can get)

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach how to cook a couple of Russian dishes.

PHILOSOPHY

Our life is a series of adventures. So, we are to choose to let them happen.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my beautiful language and culture of a country with 200 nationalities.
I can also share a bottle of wine and a thoughtful talk. (Beers and football discussion) or whatever can be discussed with whatever can be drunk.
I'm a good listener and can be a one-evening psychologist. I could be a great partner for adventure!

Countries I’ve Visited

Bulgaria, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine

Countries I’ve Lived In

Colombia, Romania, Russian Federation, United States
