I grew up in Granada, Southern Spain, where I did most of my studies. I studied Translation and Interpreting with English and Italian as my main languages, and I went abroad two years (one to England and one to Italy) to improve my skills in both of them. I have also spent different periods in New York. These experiences increased my interest in foreign languages and cultures and also my passion for traveling. Currently I live in Madrid, where I work as a freelance translator for UNICEF while I learn French in the French institute.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have decided to catch up with Couchsurfing after a long time with no activity because I would love to catch up with foreign languages and cultures as well. After a period of traveling and living abroad, I have settled down in Spain and I spend much time on my own because of my work, so I would love to meet new people and practice the languages I like.

Interests

When I am on my own I love reading books, watching movies, cooking, knitting, going shopping... When I am with people what I enjoy the most is everything related to eating or drinking, either at home or at a bar or good restaurant, I like food from basically everywhere. I like partying but I do not like night clubs anymore- I prefer to have a good dinner or tapas followed by a few drinks at some bar with good music and see what happens next!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am an experienced and certified Spanish teacher for foreign students (I did a Master's degree on Spanish as a Foreign Language in the Complutense University of Madrid as well as different training courses, and I have worked as a Spanish teacher at different levels - teenagers, University students and company workers).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd love to exchange Spanish lessons for French/Italian lessons, both grammar and/or conversation.
