ABOUT ME

I am an active, independent individual with a passion for animals. I love to visit new places and take the time to explore the nuances of the location. I have traveled all around the world and returned to Australia for a year to revisit and experience new places.
I enjoy all sorts of physical activity (biking, hiking, swimming, yoga, dancing etc.) and it occupies a large amount of my time. I grew up in the tiny state of Vermont in the U.S. and now live in Ontario, Canada since I graduated in 2014.
I want to work with animals as a career, but am not yet sure what exactly to do. I thus have a mission to try volunteer/internship opportunities in all sorts of animal fields to try and figure out what I want to do.
I am an open person who can be driven when presented with a goal of value. I enjoy both my time alone and going out with friends and family. I love to cook (and eat, of course) all sorts of foods and sharing stories.

Somehow ended up getting a full tour of the Hobart Town Hall and having a BBQ in a gorgeous waterfront home!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love historical fiction, science fiction, non-fiction, and general fiction novels. I loved Harry Potter and Michael Crichton, but I honestly find the best books by going to cheap book sales and randomly scanning the piles. I have found many a good read in this way.
As for movies...I cannot say a favourite. I like many genres, but not chick flicks. Haha. A good drama, documentary, foreign film, or action flick interests me. Generally, if the quality is high and the story is well told, I'll watch it.
Music: I am a fan of many types of electronic. I generally listen to Felguk, Benny Benassi, David Guetta, Deadmau5, Basement Jaxx, and other random artists.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

See my travels page. I have worked with farm animals, domestic animals, elephants, dolphins, sea lions/seals, wolves and assorted Australian fauna. I never want to stop the learning process with animals (or in general).
