Not good at talking about myself but to sum it up I like to consider myself a citizen of the universe .... to state the obvious, I’m very very passionate about God, Jesus and traveling and love talking, reminiscing, and listening to stories about traveling. .... and experiencing different cultures and surroundings, spaces and most of all people from different backgrounds. I am laid back, simple and very chatty when it comes to things that I’m passionate about (so bare with me 🙃).

I worked offshore at sea for sometime and wasn’t able to host for quite a while but now I’m based in Luanda again for work and have been living here since end of last year 2018 and so I’m able to host or meet up with CSers passing by this rather interesting, non-touristy and overwhelming country and city.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting people from different cultures and background and enjoy learning new things from them, sharing great moments, smiles and thoughts. On a deeper level, I want to be a part of and understand different mindsets of people from all around the world. Understand why they do the things that they do, why they pray that way or eat the way they eat....I want to know more and I want to be part of it all.
I found that this network is a great way to do that. So far I have only had fantastic CS experiences and have met the most interesting souls.

There is still more good than bad people in this world and if we can take some time to experience this goodness, why not.
We can truly only understand each other if we open our hearts to and are around one another.

Interests

I take absolute pleasure in meeting (knowing) people, mostly on a deeper level and am looking forward to meeting great souls and sharing travel and life experiences and even making life long friends in this journey.
Am super interested in meeting travelers alike and hearing about their journey or even joining them if it’s a possibility.
There's just something so fascinating about how much you can learn, see, feel and experience through traveling and people. It definitely brings the world together.

I mentioned I love God and Jesus? Yess...I am a devoted Christ follower and I'm often in Church during week nights and on Sunday mornings.
If you'd like to join me in Church, I'll be more than happy to take you to service with me.
Church community are all locals and friendly, that I'm sure would be delighted to meet CSrs and you can get a local vibe there too.
Be respectful and cautious inside the Church and if you'd like to do something special or specific like film or photos please let me know first so we can proper permission.

I have a crazy fascination for languages and any type of art even though I have only got to experience most of it later in my life.
I am currently trying to read more books and how to play the guitar (wish me luck).
If you are a Spanish or French speaker, I'd love to learn from you and practice.

Music, Movies, and Books

I literally vibe to any and all kinds of music.
A self proclaimed movie junkie...some of my faves are Avatar, Titanic, Twilight Saga (I could watch this a million times, I’m cheesy like that), the curious case of Benjamin button, Troy, Robin Hood, Pursuit of Happiness, Seven Pounds, Catch me if you can, Pearl Harbor, Armageddon, Die Hard series, Hostage, Me before you, Divergent series, All Leo DiCaprio, Denzel Washington, Bruce Willis, Jodie Foster, Sandra Bullock movies or Steven Spielberg and James Cameron movies to name a few.....too many to mention on here!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Pet a lion, small talk with a cheetah, hug a dolphin and romance a snake.
Traveling! I just can’t get over the fact that you can wake up and hug your family in Angola and then just find yourself having dinner with CSers in Lisbon all in the same day.....love it 😊

Teach, Learn, Share

I think everyone on earth can learn and teach something to someone.
Show me what you got.....I love listening to a great teacher.

The key here is to be a good listener.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Big smiles and loud Laughters ..... positive energy, my humble shelter and possibly dinner or a cup of tea :)

So a bit about my home and where I live.

I live with another family member in a small but cozy little apartment. you'll either get a couch or a private room.
I can provide sheets and a towel if you don’t have any with you.
The neighborhood is fairly safe to walk around and explore, even at night but always be cautious of your surroundings and avoid dark places because 100% safety is not guaranteed.

If you surf my place or I’m your guest please please leave a reference when you leave and I’ll do the same as this is how others will see and judge whether I am a good host or not.
