About Me

I'm Elena, a creative one living in Moscow. I'm into art, fashion and design, particularly sewing and creating clothes, cooking and traveling.

I've travelled a lot, both surfing and hosting people in Moscow and New York, where I lived for a few years. I'd love to meet new people and have some fun.

P.S. If you keep seeing your requests declined, maybe try to change it a little bit. As a host, I expect to learn something about you from the first message, so please keep it in mind when you reach out to people. Last minute requests are okay.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've hosted many amazing people and some of them became my good friends. I love that CS connects people from around the world, changes mentality and lets us open doors for strangers.

Interests

Art, design, architecture, history, literature, and urbanism. I'm open-minded, interested in a bunch of things from climate refugees to future movies of Wes Anderson, and always happy to learn something new.

Cooking is my big passion. I would love to learn new recipes from you or just fix a dinner to share. I'm a true hedonist and can show you around good coffee and beer.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm into books. Some of my favourite are "Americanah" by Chimamanda Ngozi, "Just Kids" by Patti Smith, "Goldfinch" by Donna Tart, everything by Ayn Rand, "All the light we cannot see" by Anthony Doerr.

All works by Wes Anderson and especially "The Grand Budapest Hotel" and "Monsoon Kingdom". I'm more a book person, but movie night always sounds good!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few years in New York

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to sew or even make patterns if you're patient enough :)
