ABOUT ME

I'm a very easy-going, laid-back person and I get along with almost everyone. I'm always willing to try new things and go on an adventure, but I also like to laze around at home or at the beach. I'm in the limbo between graduating from university and the real world, so I'm a pretty free bird right now.

I've surfed a few times and hosted a few times, and all have been great experiences.

Interests

Growing up on the west coast of Canada, I LOVE the outdoors. I love hiking, sailing, swimming, surfing, camping, playing soccer, and just generally being outside, rain or shine.

I also love reading, cooking, baking, long discussions about this and that, and of course travel, learning about different cultures and their histories. I play piano and am currently trying to teach myself the ukulele, although I don't practice as much as I should.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I feel like the best is next to come, but growing up on Vancouver Island has been pretty amazing. It's an absolutely stunning place.

Sailed from Nanaimo to San Francisco...it was a wild ride, to say the least.

I also did a semester's exchange in England. If you're a student and considering an exchange...just do it.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you're passionate about it, I'll probably want to hear about it.

I study geography in school, so I like the big picture, and can tell you about it.

Sharing a beer or a cup of tea and a conversation is one of my favourite things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good conversation! I love sharing and learning about other cultures, countries, histories, geographies, etc etc.

I can whip up a big batch of vegetarian chili, bake some double chocolate banana bread, or whatever else your heart desires.
