ABOUT ME

I am traveling to Iceland with a dear friend of mine, Sarah. We met in a small village in Quebec 3 years ago and traveled the east coast of Canada together. Since then, I moved from Edmonton to Toronto, and she moved to Montreal and now back to Munich. After 3 years of poor internet connections over Skype and overcoming time differences, we will see each other in Iceland, for 3 weeks of adventure and discovery.

PHILOSOPHY

Ah, life? I'd have to say it's about reaching out for what's within arms length and letting go of the rest - unburdened by its existence, but not forgotten. I often find myself looking for an excuse to laugh - I seem to do that well. I try to sink into the subtleties of life - I love its mystery and wonder.

Couch surfing has been an incredible opportunity to meet people who are native to the towns and cities I have visited. In exchange for a place to stay, Sarah and I would love to cook you a dinner!

Connections, dynamics, and a deeper sense of meaning. Anything that can touch on these concepts seems to grab a heightened response from me. My real interest, however, always boils down to people - and their interests.

Music: Guns n' Roses was my first love. Hmmm. Or was it Diana Ross and the Supremes? (That was a genuine afterthought.) Since then, my taste has spanned the globe. I love anything you can dance to, which is pretty much everything... if you got the moves.

Movies: La Vita è Bella is my favorite movie - nothing has claimed that title since I first watched it in grade 7.

Books: Favorite book is The Doors of Perception by Aldous Huxley.
