I love travelling around the world, knowing new people from different cultures, experiencing different traditions and lifestyles. Since I started college, I’ve begun travelling around Europe, and that really opened my mind. During my undergraduate program, I spent one semester in Santiago De Compostela (Spain), which I still consider one of the best experience of my life: it made me understand that outside there is an entire world to discover. The following years I had an internship in London and one in Madrid. Now I’m spending the last year of my master program in Atlanta (US). I’m a very sporty and active person, I did competitive artistic roller skating for many years, and now I’m a trainer. In addition, I like hiking, and walking in general, to discover new places.

Through my previous experiences abroad, I understood that talking with local people in a foreign country is a unique opportunity to have a real contact with the local culture. When I travel, I’m glad to meet people who enjoy spending part of their time with you, showing their city, and giving you advice on the best places to go. I personally like doing it when I’m home in Italy, because it’s a cultural enrichment for both the parties.
In addition, I’m aware of the limited budget all the students (like me) have: even though we love traveling, we can’t afford to spend a lot of money for accommodation. I hope to find nice people who help me traveling around the US this year, living a deep American experience. When I go back to Italy I will be glad to exchange the favor.
