About Me
Hello, I'am Benni from Bayreuth (Germany)!
Who am I? I'am a traveller who tries to do as many things as I can do in my life.
I love exploring new cultures and the people who live in there.
I'am really looking forward to meeting a lot of nice people on earth! :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet the nicest people you can find in a country! All couchsurfers who gave me a place to sleep taught me something about travelling, life, their language and their country. I really appreciate this!
Interests
I spend a lot of my time climbing in my homearea the FRANKENJURA and sometimes in the Alps. But I really enjoy finding new crags all over the world - espacially Norway or the southern parts of Europe.

Music, Movies, and Books
Grunge, Alternative, Stoner, Garage and Blues Rock, Rock, Prog, Hard'n'Heavy, Post-Rock, Experimental Music, Indie, also classic stuff like Beethoven and Godowsky...
I studied literature and linguistics, so it's quite hard to define a favorite book or movie.
Some of my favorites are: Hesse, Altmann, Brecht, Rilke, Strunk, Kafka, Hemingway, Nietzsche, Schrott...
There are also so much movies, but I think the Kubrick and Lynch-stuff is quite good, also Werner Herzog and so on...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Did a handstand at the tip of the Trolltunga in Norway.
Traveled to the Pulau Banyaks in Indonesia, which took me and my girlfriend 2 days (included 8 hours on a nutshell over the ocean).
Once I had a 43 hour trip in a train in India.
Drank beers with a druglord in Canada.
Paddled down the Yukon-River for 700 kilometers through the wilderness in 15 days.
Hiked with 18 years my first "long-distance" trail in Germany with a friend - 160 kilometers in 5 days.
Self-published a small anthology of my poems.
Wrote an unpublished book.
Spent a month in a remote valley in Chile for a climbing trip.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've studied teaching, so I think that I can teach some subjects (especially GERMAN). :-)
Seriously I can teach all the climbing stuff (technique, belaying etc.) because I am a trained climbing coach of the DAV.
As a son of a headcook I'm pretty sure to teach some German-recipies!
I hope that I'll learn spanish fluently and get in touch with other languages in the comming future.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Typical culture. Anthropology. Food. Knowing. Tips. The meaning of Live. Jokes. Fun...
