I see myself as an open-minded, active, relaxed, tolerant and positive person. I always try to seek for the best character traits in a person and accept everyone as they are. I believe happiness is accepting ups and downs in your life. And every person you meet on your way can teach you something. I love travelling and I hope I can see the most of the world i can, because that would be such a pity not to enjoy and explore the beauty and the diversity that this planet is offering to us.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am relatively new to couchsurfing. I have stayed on couchs 4 times and never yet hosted anyone, as I don' t have a appropriate appratment for hosting right now. But all of my experiences were very nice and interesting and very different.
I am on Couchsurfing because I love meeting new people and when i travel I want to see the city from the perspective of locals as much as I can, that is why I believe it's amazing way to learn more about the place you are visiting, not only staying in a hotel with bunch of other tourists.

Interests

I like being in nature, swimming, hiking and camping. I like having a nice beer after a long day, having a chat and dancing. I love animals and horseriding. I like to learn about other cultures, meeting new people and learning languages. I like music and art festivals. I woudn't call myself an artist but I have done some painting classes which I enjoyed very much and I am sure I will get back to that one day. I like doing sports, like jogging, bicycle riding and yoga. I love hot weather and chilling at the beach. Basically there are a lot of things I enjoy! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to music, I like it when I like it. I don' t have a favourite genre, as it ussually change time to time. I tend to find something I like and listen till I get sick of it and search for something knew. Right now I think I'm stuck with indie electronic and acoustic .
I do love watching movies and tv-series. Like Eurotrip as stupid as it may sound (I have seen it like 5 times and always make references to it :D ). From tv-series, its the Office, Parks and Recreation, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Adventure Time, Homeland.
As to reading, ashamingly I have to admit I haven't read lately, but I am hoping to make it up to that. Some months ago i started Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts, which was very interesting and I am willing to finish it soon, as I will do solo travel, that will be the perfect pass time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It is too hard to choose one.
First of all it's Erasmus in Murcia, Spain was simply amazing experience all in all, that was half a year full of amazing things I did and learnt so much. I turned my world around and made me realize the worls is open to everyone if only you want to believe it.
Joining ESN Riga and seeing my hometown from a new perspective.
And many more, mostly from travelling like swimming in Atlantic Ocean or horseriding in Crete by the seaside, going to abandoned hospital in the middle of the night which scared the hell out of me haha
And there are so many yet to come!
Now I am planning to travel starting from August with my friend and starting from September I will continue travelling alone around with no specific time to go back home or destination, so I am very excited and it will be the next amazing thing I will be doing and hope to see you on my way! :)

Teach, Learn, Share

As to what ever you can share or teach me, I am completely open. I am curious and happy to learn something from everyone I meet, which I believe we always do, even maybe without realizing it. I speak Spanish and French but not perfectly, so I would always appreciate to practise these languages or learn some new.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I enjoy sharing stories and experiences of any kind, mostly from travelling I guess. I can tell you about Latvia and teach you some Lativan as you most probably don't know how it may sound ;D I can teach you some Spanish, English or French. I can cook you some Latvian dish. And we can always just chill out and share nice moments together.
