ABOUT ME

My name is Milda. I am 24 years old (Birthday on October 8th) and I live in Kaunas, which is the second biggest city of Lithuania. I'm a bit shy, but always helpful and ready to introduce my country to you. :) So far I've couched on 3 couches - in Norway, Italy and France. It was a great experience - loved the people, loved the small chats and funny moments!
Mindaugas is my significant other - we are together for more than 4 years. He is also 24 years old. Let's make everything memorable together!

Few facts about me and Mindaugas:
) I love Japan and it's my dream land, which I'm going to visit someday!
2) I'm also the ruler of the world! hahaha >:)
3) Mindaugas is a huuuuuge MARVEL and WARCRAFT fan!
4) I adore animals - be it a puppy, a horse or a snake.
5) I'm trying to eat healthy sometimes, but then.. I still consider myself a girl with buns. Lack of motivation, UGH! Need your help :))
8) We both love reading about astronomy and astrophysics.
9) I also have a great love for mythology. Strange duo, no? Science and Fiction.
10) Sometimes I get in to this existential dread. :D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm couchsurfing with Mindaugas to see the bright world;
Out of curiosity;
It's way better to see the city with someone local than roaming in the streets with a huge map. :)

Interests

* I love travelling, getting to know new cultures of different places.
* I love postcrossing, it's one of my biggest passions! I have this huuge map on my wall where all those postcards goes.
* Also - video games. Ugh, love them!
* Just started learning neuroligvistic-programming. So far I've learned so much just by looking at a person!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Old-school, rock, classical, kpop it all depends on the mood! I don't have one particular music genre I like. Same goes for Mindaugas.
Books I like: Practically anything that comes into my hands :) I love Haruki Murakami, Balys Sruoga, Antanas Škėma, Kazys Boruta.
Movies: Sci-fi, psychological, anything space related and with a deeper meaning. Love Star Wars, Alien, Prometheus, Interstellar! We both share the same likes for movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are a few things:
* Skiing in Slovakia;
* Travelling all the way from South to North in Norway;
* Getting lost in Venezia in the middle of the night with no train to go back to the airport. Oh boy, the silent whispers from the alleys were sooo scary!
* Camel riding/sandboarding in Abu Dhabi!

Teach, Learn, Share

* We can teach you how to say some common phrases in Lithuanian, which is the oldest indo-european language. It actually sounds like quite elfish!
* We can share with you stories, food, many delicious recipes (Lithuanian food is quite "fattening", mind that :)) )
* We are open for some teachings too!

What I Can Share with Hosts

*A bottle Lithuanian beverage created by fermenting honey with water, sometimes with various fruits, spices, grains, or hops (with alcohol) called "Mead" to enjoy while listening to each others' stories they want to share. :) We lithuanians call it honey wine. Yum!
* If you love reading, we can bring you one of the classical lithuanian books (translated to english of course) :)
* If you have kids, we can share some great stories with them and bring them some of the yummiest lithuanian candies.
* We can also bring you some of the lithuanian gold - amber. I love going to the sea early in the morning and picking those pretty sun tears!
* Mind, that we do not pay with money for our stays. We pay with laugh, good moments together and interesting conversations! Hospitality on Couchsurfing should free.
