I am an extroverted introvert...or is it the other way around? I can do my own thing any time solo and have no problem with being by myself for my own peace. But! I love to engage with others and hold discussions on just about any topic really. I am easy-going and open-minded for the most part. I don't eat pork. I am not fond of spiders (bigger than a quarter and I get a bit nervous!). I am a fish tank enthusiast and have a roughly 50-gallon tank back in Northern California where I am originally from. I also have a baby turtle in the same tank who swims with the fishes. I absolutely LOVE sports especially basketball and will definitely join in on any invite to play a game, especially those involving a ball of some sort. I am passionate about cooking and am quite a whiz in the kitchen...don't believe me? Watch me whip us up a meal!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I LOVE to meet new people and of all origins because language, food and culture are some of THE best pleasures of life, so why not indulge! Aaaaaand, because a best gal pal of mine told me about it a couple years ago and I am officially doing a big solo adventure overseas and given my Master's program having me return to an enormous amount of student loan debt when I return home in August, I think this is the best way to help with the cost of travel.

I appreciate ALL music, from ALL countries, but don't particularly prefer country music, although I'd be lying if I said I didn't have about 3 country songs on my Spotify playlist, haha! (Lady Antebellum, Boys Like Fancy, and I forget the 3rd...)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Developed a research study on "Effect of Imagining Fishy Smells on Analytical Thinking and Self-Disclosure," and designed a survey to administer to 200 people online and received significant main effects between multiple variables! In the process of completing this paper in order to publish it in December 2017 :) My application for my study to the school ethics board was impressive enough to be requested to be used for future cohorts as an example on the IRB website, once my study is complete and finally published. I feel honored to have been offered such an opportunity! :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Can teach cooking! Can teach basketball or any other sport. Love kids and have held MAAAAANY jobs with them in the past as a previous Nanny under an agency who found me numerous gigs.
