Hi all!

I am Eli and I come from Serbia, but for the past 10 years I have been moving around the world, exploring, traveling, figuring out what is life and what I want to achieve out of it.
I am like the most playful talkative child as well as a withdrawn patient observer. My eyes are always searching for adventures, places to move, people to meet and new hobbies to aquire, even though I already have enough :p
I dedicated many years of my life to an academic life, studiying social sciences and thought that I would just continue being a researcher in a university until my whole world turned inside out and tumbled me all the way around.

Now my life follows a more creative and expressive calling, through which I enjoy most of all helping people, and sharing my knowledges as well as learning from them. You cant give without receiving as well ey! ;)

I live in Rijeka, Croatia now where I have found my temporary home.

The sea for me is all life, and since i grew up in a country without one, now I am trying to always be nearby the big blue, where I swim all year round and enjoy figuring out its majestic life inside.

You can catch me writing, playing, jumping or just staring away with a billion thoughts in my running head.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe in community in help and the goodness of people. I have shared my home for many in the past and have been hosted by many friends even outside of this platform, and I want to continue doing so. I am curious to meet all kinds of different spirits, share our stories and help one another in a mission to make traveling as accesible as possible, because we all deserve it while living in this crazy dystopia.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
My asbolute favorite is jazz and funk. But i also love to jump around to punk. I am interested in traditional music from around the world as well, especially some turkish and arabic rythms and melodies, but also latin american music, most of all cumbia!

Movies:
stop animation, cartoons, experimental movies, comedies from the 70s and 80s, and of course detectives!

Books:
Usually i find myself immersed in psychological, philosophical, soiological and theoretical books, but I am pushing myself to read more novels, short stories and fiction. Other than that poetry is my go to always.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in a cave for half a year outside every norm of the society and had the best life of my life.

I am always up for making some traditional balkan meals, storytelling and playing all kinds of different games!
