ABOUT ME

I am a teacher, artist, potter, painter, musician,writer, poet,my art is all about recycle,reclaim, reuse,I love collage/assemblage. I live on a organic farm/bed and breakfast/retreat center which caters to travelers and those seeking respite from the world. I have guest yurts and
I teach for local and regional non profit oganizations in community progams and the prisons. I teach a class at the local college in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity.
I run a small art coop with 4 other women in a great tourist section of town making all kinds of art to sell and show.
I want to travel the world, helping, connecting, partying, seeking out the weird and unexplained and the national treasures alike...people and places. I never fear the unknown!

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life in service to others which fills me. I'm not my job, my house, my possesions. I want to be a part of something bigger than myself, to connect, get my hands dirty. I have in the past 5 years slowly been shedding possesions and speaking out about simple living. I give and I get and have never been left wanting. I take the sharp pains of self discovery and keep moving...I want to LIVE!

Interests

Anything that is out of doors and deals with adventure, animals or exploring. I love food and I love to cook.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read like a mad woman! I always have at least 4 books going at one time.
Music is a huge part of my life I have many influences and favorites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen and been a part of the campaign process to nominate and elect the first African American man as the president of the United States!! I don't think I will top that in my lifetime!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm big in the green movement and have a lot of knoweledge of organic gardening and alternative housing.
I have practical and impractical skills in the realm of all art and music.
I am one hell of a life coach,life organizer,brainstormer, problem solver, creative muse.
I want to learn more about everything.
I wear a bracelet which says " Ancora Imparo" Michaelangelo said it when he was 80 years old, it is latin for " I am still Learning". I am always learning, even while teaching.
