About Me

Hi! We are Anaïs and Eliah.

Eliah is an airhead and likes to learn.
Anaïs likes to keep things organised and sometimes she's a bit a perfectionist. You could say we balance each other perfectly well!

We’re both studying at the University of Ghent. Anaïs is studying Psychology and Eliah wants to become an architect. After we had finished highschool we’ve travelled for one year, we hitchhiked through France, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland and Italy. Since then we love to discover different countries, different cultures, different food, different people,… Since we are studying at the moment it’s more difficult to get packed and leave Belgium whenever we want, but this summer we want to travel through Europe for one month. We want to travel by train and visit Munich, Prague, Vienna, Ljublijana and Split. We live in Ghent and there we go everywhere with our bicycles, so we have decided that we are going to take our folding bikes on the train and visit the cities on our bikes. This journey is different from the other times we’ve travelled. Normally we are quite slow and visit one country in a month or two or three or… months :). So five countries in one month is a real challenge for us, but we are really looking forward to it.

PHILOSOPHY

The true traveler is he who goes on foot, and even then, he sits down a lot of the time. -Colette-

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We already couchsurfed two times. Once in Lissabon and once in Recife in Brasil. Our best experience was in Lissabon. We stayed with a very friendly guy who learned us everything about vegetarian food and movies. It would be nice to have more couchsurfing experiences and we look to meeting new people this summer.

Interests

Eliah likes landsailing, quantum mechanics, bad jokes and (surprise) architecture.
Anaïs likes reading, running, playing the piano, sewing and pretty shoes.

Ofcourse there's more than that, but if you want to find out, we should meet for real!

Hitchhiking through France and meeting extraordinary people was one hell of a time.
